PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

 

The meeting was opened with the pledge of allegiance led by Mayor Lewis.

 

Mayor Lewis requested a moment of silence in honor of Plumbing Inspector Fred Korutz

who passed away on December 26, 2005.  Mayor Lewis expressed condolences to the Korutz

family.

Directions to the fire exists were noted by the Mayor.

 

MISCELLANEOUS

 

Mayor Lewis thanked everyone for attending the Re-Organizational Meeting and wished everyone a Happy New Year.

COMMITTEE REPORTS                                                     

 

Trustee Balles stated that New York State has added parks equipment to their awarded contracts

list in which political sub-divisions may utilize.  Trustee Balles thanked the Town of Union for

their financial assistance in procuring equipment for CFJ Park.

 

Trustee Adams stated that Veterans Park on the corner of Main and Arch streets, in which

improvements are being planned, welcomes Veterans recognition from any area, not just Johnson

City.

Motion by Trustee Jones - seconded by Trustee Balles that Roberts Rules of Order, including previous amendments

(which includes the “holdover” provision, which must be used prior to the vote, and which will hold over the subject

matter until the next scheduled meeting) and future amendments by the Village Board, be used as the governing material

for the Village Board meetings for the year 2004.

 Treatment Plant, in the amount of $6,181.18

Trustee Adams asked that letters of condolence be sent to the families of long time plumbing inspector Fred Korutz and

 former firefighter Joseph Dancho, both who recently passed away and served the Village for many years.

 

Mayor Lewis stated that letters have been forwarded.

 

Jeff Rake – 341 Arthur Avenue – Stated several areas in which he feels the Village could make improvements.
