Minutes of a regular meeting of the

Johnson City Planning Board held on

April 28, 2009 at 7:30pm at

243 Main St., Johnson City, NY

 

Present:           Leonard Sas, Chairman

Joanne Drimak

Pamela Hysell

John Walker

                        Daria Golazeski, Planning Director

 

Absent:            Gerald Putman

                        Jeff Jacobs, Village Attorney

 

A brief work session was held at 7:00pm.

 

Chairman Sas called the meeting to order at 7:30pm.

 

Chairman Sas noted the emergency exits.

 

Minutes – A motion to accept the minutes of the February 24, 2009 regular meeting was made by Mrs. Drimak and seconded by Mr. Walker. The motion passed with all those present voting. Mrs. Hysell abstained.

 

Privilege of the Floor

Julie Deemie, 153 Zoa Avenue – Asked if the new Wal-Mart was going to be using pre-fab construction. Planner Golazeski stated that the walls would be pre-fab engineered walls. There will be 4 foot footers and a vapor barrier 8 feet underground. Mrs. Deemie asked about a time schedule. Planner Golazeski stated that Wal-Mart has not provided the Village with one at this time.

OLD BUSINESS

 

Mrs. Hysell asked if there was a time frame for completion given at the last meeting for the Special Permit application for Alison Beaulieu, DVM at 712-716 Harry L. Drive. There is no mention of one in the motion. She also asked if Dr. Beaulieu had to come back before the board for site plan approval. Planner Golazeski stated that she did not believe that it was necessary but she would check the application to see what the wording was and what the applicant applied for.

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

Site Plan Review – Kevin Dougherty – Transient Grilling & Catering, 75 Baldwin Street

 

The application is a site plan review for a portable food cart on property along Corliss Avenue from April to November as weather permits.

 

No one was present on behalf of the applicant. The application was held over to the May 19th regular meeting.

 

A motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:45pm was made by Mrs. Drimak and seconded by Mrs. Hysell.
