OLD BUSINESS
Area Variance- DMW Services, Inc. - Joe
Watson,
The
application is an area variance request to reduce the minimum required lot
frontage from 60 feet to 45 feet to allow for the conversion of the building
from a single family dwelling to a two family dwelling. The applicant, Joe
Watson, was present.
Chairman
Rowlands reminded the board and all those in attendance that the Public Hearing
for this application has already been held and was closed at the June 9th
meeting. He also stated that the board had received a letter and packet of
information from Julie Deemie regarding this application and has had time to
review the additional information submitted by Mr. Watson.
Mr.
Mazanek stated that there is enough parking and that the lot size is greater
than the 6,000sq. ft. required for a two-family dwelling in this zoning
district. The board has received a petition of support from several of the
neighbors of this property. The Planning Board felt that this was a self
created hardship, however there seems to be conflicting evidence regarding this
and it cannot be proven.
A
motion to approve the area variance to reduce the minimum required lot frontage
from 60 feet to 45 feet including
the department head comments was made by Mr. Mazanek and seconded by Mr.
Snedaker.
