Minutes of a Work Session of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Johnson City, New York, held at 5:41PM in the Municipal Building on March 17, 2009.

PRESENT: Harry G. Lewis Mayor

Mayor Lewis reviewed and/or updated the Board on the following items:

1. Mayor Lewis reviewed agenda items.

2. Trustee Silas requested removing Resolution #67 from the agenda. Trustee Hannon was in agreement with Trustee Silas stating that Resolution #55 should be addressed first as the budget is currently being discussed. Because the Board is considering the 2009-2010 budget, Trustees Hannon and Silas felt that Resolution #67 is not appropriate at this time. Trustee Hannon noted that that the Firefighters are displaying a nice gesture but it has no impact on the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 budgets. Trustee Hannon emphasized that this issue was talked about in executive session and inquired as to who violated the sanctity of executive session. Jeff Jacobs clarified the proper procedures for protocol in an executive session.

3. Trustee Hannon inquired about the TYFESCO bill in the abstract. Trustee King spoke to his investigation relative to the previously pulled invoice of March 3, 2009.Trustee Hannon requested a job specification for the Fire Fighter mechanic and a list of duties he has performed in the last six (6) months.

Motion made by Trustee Hannon – seconded by Trustee Balles to enter into Executive Session at 6:32PM to discuss personnel matters in the Fire Department.

Motion made by Trustee Silas – seconded by Trustee King to exit Executive Session at 7:24PM and enter Work Session.

NO ACTION TAKEN IN THIS PORTION OF THE EXECUTIVE SESSION.

The Work Session was ended at 7:25PM
