The Village of Johnson City Water-Sewage-Refuse bills were mailed this week.

On July 21, 2009 the Village Board of Trustees adopted Resolutions #134 and #135 and Local Laws No. 2 and No.3. These actions allowed for the Refuse Funds and Sewer Funds to be properly distributed in what was called the “20-20” whereby the refuse portion of the bill was increased by $20.00 and the sewer portion of the bill was decreased by $20.00.

Thus, the average homeowner is not affected by this action in their overall bill.

The increase to the refuse fund was necessary to cost of operations in the Refuse Department and the associated tipping fee increases.
