Building
Permits - The cost of a building permit is
determined by the total costs of construction and any demolitions that are
required to complete the project.
For One & Two Family
Residential Dwellings
- Ten dollars ($10.00) for the first two thousand dollars ($2,000) in
construction costs and two dollars ($2.00) for every thousand or part of
thousand thereafter.
For Multiple Family, Commercial
& Industrial Construction –
Twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for the first two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) in
construction costs and three dollars ($3.00) for every thousand or part of
thousand thereafter.
*We track proof of liability
insurance, workers' compensation insurance and NYS Disability insurance for all
our general contractors, plumbers and electricians.
Certificate
of Compliance - $25.00 for a one or two family
dwelling, each additional unit (apartment) add $10.00.
Commercial or industrial - $50.00
Sign
Permits -
each illuminated sign - $20.00, each non-illuminated sign $10.00.
Political signs - $60.00 ($10.00
fee plus $50.00 deposit which is refunded after all signs are removed)
Plumbing License
- $35.00 per
year. (to make up past years - $35.00/year)
Plumbing Permits –
For Residential
Dwellings - $10.00
base plus $2.00 for each fixture.
For Commercial
& Industrial Properties
- $25.00 base plus $5.00 for each fixture.
Furnaces, boilers, air
conditioners
- $25.00 flat fee per unit (a licensed
plumber is NOT required for furnace & boiler installation)

Rezone - fee of one hundred dollars
($100.00) plus twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per lot included in the rezone
request.
Subdivision – the fee of twenty-five
($25.00) per lot proposed in the subdivision.

After the final inspection for
new construction or for an addition to an existing structure a Certificate of
Occupancy is issued - there is no separate fee for this - it's included in the
building permit fee.
